Abstract
GSR and plethysmographic changes during different modes of reference to experiencing: An experimental approach to psychotherapeutic process
N. Kawakami
Photoplethysmographic and GSR changes of 32 male and female students were recorded during different modes of reference to Experiencing, experimentally varied with eight types of instructions. Results indicate that the different degrees of reference to Experiencing caused difference in numbers of skin resistance responses (SRR) and that in pulse amplitudes of plethysmogram, being consistent with Gendlin, et al. (1961), and showed quite contrary changes of skin resistance Level (SRL). High correlation existed between pulse amplitudes and the numbers of SRR. Possible conditions to elicit those different results were suggested.
