Abstract
Values, cognitive width, external-internal control and tendency to increase performance
Y. Rim
The relationship between rank-ordering of values, cognitive width, expectancies of external-internal control and degree of improvement of performance was investigated. The results were discussed in connection with previous investigations on the relationship between values and personality dimensions such as Neuroticism, Extraversion-Introversion and Psychoticism, attitudinal scales, such as Dogmatism, Authoritarianism, Machiavellianism, and Intolerance of Ambiguity; and Intelligence, Need for Achievement and order of birth.
