Influence of teacher training on student's values

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the different effects on the final session that might be due to the degree of discrepancies between S's own position in the initial rating of their responses to stimulus word and direction of emotionality of attributes additionally given to repeated word. 'Three repetition conditions were given according to emotionality characteristics of repeated word. Before and after repetition, Ss were presented the stimulus word, and asked to write simple sentences on the basis of their image arised from this stimulus word and to rate each of their descriptions on 3 scales. The obtained results seemed to support the predictions. The findings were discussed with reference to the interpretation which assumed the effects of discrepancy reduction and of cognitive exploratory motivation.
