Sex-role
preference in children as a function of birth space
R.C. Dixit |
The
It scale for children, a projective test of sex role preferences,
was given to 45 male and 33 female subjects of a village population.
The relationship of birth space (age interval) with sex role preferences
were studied. The large birth space boys were found to be more masculine
than small birth space ones and the large birth space girls were
more feminine than small birth space girls. Further studies were
suggested to examine the fundamental effect of this variable in the
growth and development of personality.
