Abstract
Immediate recall as a function of frequency of word usage (count): A replication
R.R. Borude
Seventy eight subjects of both sexes in four groups were subjected to a free-immediate recall test. Each group learned different list of 15 words, the lists differing in the difficulty level and word frequency. Significant statistical differences were observed in the means of all the conditions (p<.01). Some possible interpretations were given. The study was a replication of Ha11 (1959) study.
