Abstract
Risk-taking among agricultural and business entrepreneurs of Delhi
N.P. Singh & K. Singh
Risk-taking behaviour of various categories of 80 agricultural and 80 business entrepreneurs of Delhi has been studied using suitably Indianised Hindi version of Kogan and Wallach's choice-dilemma procedure. The test was administered individually on the Ss. Statistical analysis revealed that business entrepreneurs as a whole emerged as more risk-takers in comparison to agricultural entrepreneurs. Again the various categories of business entrepreneurs did not exhobit any difference in their risk-raking scores whereas their counter-parts in agriculture did differ. It was inferred that elements of risk in business are more due to instable demand and supply conditions and again due to dynamism of consumer's requirements. The results are, however, not in conformity with the expectations or hypothesis.
