R.N. Prasad & S.N. Singh
The purpose of the present study was to see the sex-differences in caste-prejudice of College students. It was hypothesized that female students will be more caste-prejudiced as compared to male students. Three hundred male and one hundred female college students were tested by the Indian Caste-prejudice Scale (ICPS). It has been found that in all the areas of caste-prejudice female students scored higher than the male students. In matters of `marriage and interpersonal relations'; `political, social and economic gains' and `personal qualities' significant difference emerged due to sex of the students. In the area of `education, employment and inhabitation' boys and girls showed similar attitudes toward caste-system.
