R. Bhattacharya & M.G. Husain
The present study intended to investigate the impact of two kind of environmental conditions namely, open and closed types, and also to see the effect of sex and age on Locus of Control with its dimensions, i.e. Internal, Powerful Others and Chance. Eight groups (N=120) based on ecology (environment), sex and age, viz. early and late adolescence, were administered Levinson and Miller Locus of Control scale. Scores of this 2 X 2 X 2 multiple design study were subjected to Analysis of Variance and t-test. ANOVA showed the significant impact of sex on Locus of Control whereas the t-test revealed some influence of ecology and age on Locus of Control.
