Abstract
Similar Jobs--Dissimilar Evaluations

The study attempted to explore locus of control in order to explain variations in job-perception and job-satisfaction of Ss holding same jobs. Internal Ss perceived their jobs more favorably and were also more satisfied with various aspects of their jobs as compared to the external Ss. A 2 x 2 ANOVA tested the joint influences of locus of control and job-perception on job satisfaction. The two main effects were found to be significant while the interaction was not. This revealed that all Ss who perceived their jobs as "more enriched" were more satisfied with their jobs as compared to those Ss who perceived their jobs as "less enriched", and this was true for both external and internal Ss.
