This study assessed differences between the ways that counseling students in Thailand and the United States perceived the constructs of the Past and the Future. The evaluative and potency scales of a semantic differential were used to compare the student's perceptions of these constructs. One finding of the study was that Thai students evaluated the Future more positively than American students, while American students rated the potency of the Future higher than Thai students.
