Abstract
Respiratory and EEG changes by cotention of Trigant Burrow
K. Shiomi
About "Cotention" two experiments were conducted. In these experiments Zen students or Zen masters (Experimental Group, EG) and ordinary, no-trained men (control Group, CG) were required to do "Cotention". From the results of experiments, it was found that Experimental Group could be in the state of "Cotention" quite well, and that "Cotention" was a different type from "Ditention". In experiment I, respiration was slower and deeper in "Cotention" than in "Ditention". But, Control Group could not be in the state of "Cotention" well. In Experiment II, there appeared two different change-patterns of EEG. But, total Energy in "Cotention" was lower than in "Ditention". These results agreed approximately with Burrow's ones.
