Inhibition
J. Mohan |
An
everview of the theorizations and experimentations on the inhibitory
phenomena has been attempted. The, historical perspective in developing
the concept of inhibition and the research, both in comparative and
human fields, is presented to work out a system, as it is today.
Inhibition as opposed to excitation acts as a preventive checking
or hindering process. Which may be regarded as falling on end points.
Its significance in research and formidable position in theorization,
as elucidated by the present review and the elaborate bibliography
is suggesting enough about the stimulating and dynamic status of
the inhibition, as a concept in psychology.
