Abstract
Sex differences in intercaste attitudes in Delhi
S.S. Anant
In order to study sex differences in intercaste attitudes, data from two groups, drawn from the general population and University students in Delhi were collected. It was hypothesized that a lower percentage of women than men would give liberal responses. This hypothesis was generally supported in the case of the adult sample, but no or reverse sex differences were found in the student sample. The results are interpreted in terms of the selectivity of the female student sample and findings about the greater persuasibility of the females.
