To examine the effects of visual, verbal and auditory information on indirect person perception, 75 girl students ranging between 14 and 16 years were selected as Ss, far the visual presentation a full black white photograph of a girl of M. A. class in Indian Lady's dress, for verbal a typed narrative (pen-portrait) prepared very objectively on the basis of reports of 60 students and for auditory same narrative through tape recorder was presented before the Ss. Twelve seven point semantic differential scales were used to assess the evaluative, potency and activity factors. The results showed that different mode of presentation did not generate different perception in case of most of the scales. It is discussed that no difference in person perception generated by the visual, verbal and auditory was found because the processes, amount of information, and exposure time for these three modes were similar.
