The present study examined the relationship between approval motive and religiosity. Religiosity and approval motive scales were administered on a sample of 250 under-graduate students. Religiosity was found to be positively related to approval motive. Also, the Ss of high approval motive group (HAG) exhibited significantly greater strength of religiosity as compared to low approval motive group (LAG).
