S.K. Tiwari & N.K.M. Tripathi
The present study was designed with a view to examine the relationship among socio-economic status (SES), sex, components of perceived locus of control in terms of S's scores on the three sub-scales of I-E control. For this purpose, 2 x 2 x 3 factorial design was employed in which two levels of SES (Low and High), and two levels of sex (Boys and Girls), and three components of I-E control (Internal, Chance and Powerful others) were taken into consideration. ANOVA clearly indicates significant differential effects of SES and components of locus of control on the S's perceived locus of control. The results indicate that low SES Ss are more internally controlled as compared to high SES Ss.
