Abstract
Power Effects on Japanese Female Students
T. Onodera
The present study deals with the effects of power holding phenomena on the Japanese female powerholder. 42 female subjects were randomly assigned to one of the three following experimental conditions: a high power condition, a medium power condition, and a low power condition.
After supervision, as a manager over the workers in a company simulation setting, subjects were asked to fill up a questionnaire. The results obtained after analysis of these conditions indicated no~ significant effect in all these three conditions. However, the results of 'how the power is evaluated by the subject revealed an unexpected and consistent pattern. This pattern cannot be explained in terms of Kipnis (19.76)'s "metamorphic effects of power".
