Abstract
Effects of Processing Variables on Comprehension-monitoring Activities
M. Mitsuda
The study reported here was concerned with causal modeling analyses of metacognitive variables in text comprehension. Results of causal analyses had shown that subject-paced reading time assessed for each of the constituent sentences of the text was an antecedent of S's accuracy in discriminating his/her own correct recognition responses from incorrect ones. The results were discussed in term of effects of experimentally induced processing formats upon S's mathemagienic activities in text reading.
