Abstract
Priming Effect on Stroop Interference
T. Chihara
An effect of the number of conceptual codes by a prime and a Stroop stimulus on the Stroop interference was investigated in experiment 1. In experiment 2, an effect of the semantic overlapping in the accessed codes was investigated. The results of these experiments conducted by 21 undergraduates revealed that the interference increases as the number of conceptual codes substantially accessed increases, and that it increases as the accessed codes overlap semantically.
