The
Possible influences of birth order and gender difference on the language
development were examined using the selected ITPA. The results showed
that the first born child acquired high score than the second and
the third born child in the subtext of Auditory Association. This
result suggests that selective caring of parents to their first born
child affect only on the receptive language function but not on expressive
language function. The factor of gender difference have no significant
effect on language development.
