Abstract
A Comparative Study of the Functional Attributes of Computer, Brain and the Brain-Computer Model with Reference to Artificial Intelligence
N. R. Mitra & A.K. Mishra
The objective of the present paper is to identify the regions of the brain which may correspond to the different stages of the brain-computer model presented by Mitra and Mishra (1990) and at the same time to find out the analogy between the two. In the process of identification it has been found that either a particular region or a group of regions have functional resemblance with the various stages of the model in question. In the end we have compared the brain-computer model with electronic computer which indicates the clue to artificial intelligence in the sense that Self Generating Programming (SGP) is a must for its viability.
