Gender Differences in Work Motivations and Attitudes in Japan and Northern Ireland

Differences between male and female adults in seven work motivations and attitudes were compare in Japan and Northern Ireland. In Japan male adults obtained higher means on "mastery" and female adults on "achievement motivation," while in Northern Ireland male adults obtained a higher mean on "competitiveness," The results are discussed from the view point of gender differences in accidental and oriental cultures.
