This investigation measured eleven characteristics of 200 Japanese pure two-letter syllables and calculated the correlation coefficients of each other, and a factor analysis was made, Having done this, we discovered we could classify the 11 characteristics of the verbal materials into 2 categories (Meaningfulness & Frequency) thus making it possible to arrange and. integrate many of the confused variables.
